Independent tour guides are brilliant at the tour and short on time for the website. Most rely on big marketplaces where every guide looks the same.
A guide’s own site and a marketplace listing usually mean two places to update, two sets of photos and two prices to keep in line.
As a small Irish team, we had to build software guides could trust with their bookings, and ship changes without breaking anything.
Tourfect is live. As of late September 2026, 18 tours are in the marketplace and 7 guide sites are running, 2 of them on their own domain. Live examples include irishtourguides.ie and privatetoursofireland.ie. Scope Tickets, the Dublin ticketing platform, has agreed to be the booking and payments engine.
Tourfect was selected for the Web Summit ALPHA startup programme. In Lisbon, from 9 to 12 November 2026, Bradley, Karl Davis and James McCartan will demo the platform and meet guides, tour operators and investors.
For a small Irish team building SaaS, it is a chance to put Tourfect in front of the wider travel industry and come home with the feedback that shapes what we build next.
Tourfect is the product we wished our tourism clients had. Being selected for ALPHA tells us a small Irish team can build software worth taking to Lisbon.
